I see this relationship as a complex entanglement to be located, deciphered and translated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">I\u2019m particularly interested in notions surrounding coded information: questioning how it behaves, how we negotiate it, and how it might be\u00a0physically\u00a0represented and visually decoded. Stemming from this is an interest in manipulating pattern, surface and various levels of viewer\/participant interactivity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Collected security-patterned envelopes often form a \u2018base\u2019 material in these investigations. Situated at a point of inner\/outer public\/private exchange, they represent mutable boundaries as well as coded information in general. Utilisation of hand-pulped paper from dockets, receipts and various financial institution statements, further implicates surface in a scenario involving privacy, identity and exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Collaged miniatures made from these materials attempt to draw the viewer into tiny intimate worlds, where the ambiguity of information becomes apparent.
